My name is Claire Galea and I am a mum of three girls living in Malta. For years I thought that I had lost my chance of pursuing a degree due to having to focus my life on raising my children. However in Spring 2019 I got to know that the University of Malta was offering a part time Degree course in Nursing, and of course I jumped on the opportunity.
I feel it is my life purpose to be of service. Up until applying I had been living my life literally praying that I cross paths with people who I can help in one way or another. Helping people is my passion. It brings me unlimited joy and abundant peace within my heart. I love to spread positivity, happiness and smiles wherever I go, because I truly believe that every person may be battling a situation unknown to others, and a smile or a positive gesture may help uplift a person from a dark place into a place of hope.
Pursuing this five-year nursing degree course led me to a career that is purely based on what I truly love to do.
Through countless hours of lectures, personal research, study, and practice, I have gained the necessary knowledge to be able to practice caring skills safely and responsibly with vulnerable patients in need of healing.
That, coupled with the values of care and empathy which come so naturally to me, led me to become an accountable professional, allowing me to spread healing and hope to those who need it the most.
In early 2025 I founded Mariposa Holistic Care – a company that provides holistic care focused on every individual’s unique needs, ensuring personalised services that address both physical and emotional well-being, fostering a supportive environment for comprehensive healing and growth.
Throughout this blog I share resources and information that can be helpful for every student nurse on the journey to registration.
I also touch on subjects that I find interesting or fascinating. Please do feel free to reach out and contact me if there is something in particular that you would like to learn more about, and I would be more than happy to help.
My life journey is an ongoing one. I seek to continue to expand my knowledge within various areas of interest and keep up to date with the latest scientific evidence to provide the best care possible to my clients and followers.
With gratitude,
Claire
